After having one of the most talked-about moments of the night at last year’s Golden Globes, fans hoped to see Zendaya hit the red carpet once again this year with her five-carat engagement ring (and maybe even her fiancé). Sadly, Zendaya and Tom Holland skipped the 2026 Golden Globes...but the likely reason why makes sense.

For starters: Neither Tom nor Zendaya was nominated for any awards or presenting this year, so there was really no reason for them to be there. Plus, they’re both gearing up for a veeeery busy year—as they both have a bunch of high-profile projects on the horizon for 2026—so they’re likely resting up in anticipation!

What can you expect from these two in the coming months, you ask? This year, they’ll be starring in not one but two movies together: The Odyssey (which hits theaters July 17) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (which premieres just two weeks later on July 31).

Zendaya is also gearing up for the premiere of Euphoria’s highly-anticipated third season and her new movie with Robert Pattinson, The Drama (both of which drop in April). Oh, and let’s not forget the third Dune film, Dune: Messiah, which is coming in December.

You might be wondering: With all these press tours coming up, when the heck are Tom ande Zendaya going to get married?? As Z’s longtime stylist Law Roach previously revealed to E! News, you shouldn’t expect a wedding anytime soon.

“The process hasn’t even started yet,” he said when asked about wedding plans. “Zendaya is working on so many movies. She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she’s away doing that. It’s so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.”

But based on the cute pic of Zendaya and Tom from a recent outing with Tom’s family (as shared by his brother, Sam, in an Instagram post), these two are doing juuuuust fine.
