- Taylor Swift dropped a hint about her next album in her docuseries, The End of an Era.
- The docuseries revealed that The Life of a Showgirl was her biggest album and then dropped a dramatic pause before adding "to date."
- All 6 episodes of The End of an Era are streaming on Disney+.
In case you haven't had a chance to watch all six episodes of Taylor Swift's docuseries about the Eras Tour yet, it ended with a major hint that Taylor will be releasing new music sometime in the hopefully not-too-distant future. Ahem:
"On October 3, 2025, Taylor released her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, the biggest album of her career...to date."
TO! DATE!
This seems like a pretty purposeful clue that Taylor's 13th album is in the works. And while there aren't further details, there's a lot of anticipation around this album considering 13 is Taylor's lucky number.
In 2009, Taylor explained to MTV (via People) that—aside from the fact that she was born on December 13—the number has been huge throughout her life. "I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album Taylor Swift went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing."
In other words, Taylor's 13th album is going to be an EVENT!
