Taylor Swift had a few emotional moments on the Eras Tour, and one of them went down during her second-to-last stop in Toronto—where she was filmed wiping away tears and talking to the audience.
"Toronto, we’re at the very end of this tour so you doing that, you have no idea how much it means to me and my band," Taylor said. "To my band and to my crew, everybody who’s put so much of this into this tour, I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore, I’m just having a bit of a—sorry.…it’s not even the last show."
Taylor took fans behind the scenes of the moment in her docuseries, The End of an Era, explaining that she was emotional singing "Marjorie" (a song about her late grandmother) and was reflecting on her family watching the tour—especially amid her backup singer, Kamilah Marshall, losing her mother.
Taylor told her brother Austin, "I got emotional, I felt like a dumbass, I couldn't put words together."
She added, "You know what got me was Kamilah made this speech before the show where she was talking about how her mom died. Her mom died recently. And she was just saying how heartbroken she is that her mom never got to see the Eras Tour. Never got to see her do this. And I was just thinking about it all night. I knew that, and we always used to make eye contact on 'Marjorie,' me and Kamilah, because of her mom. But it put it in perspective the fact that mom did get to see it. And Travis got to see it. And dad got to see it. I just felt so lucky and that's what cracked me. It cracked me wide open."
