We all know/love/are obsessed with Noah Wyle from HBO's The Pitt, but reminder that the Emmy-award winning actor got his start as Dr. John Carter on ER. And he was on the show foreverrrrrrr.

Noah was a series regular for 11 seasons (1994 to 2005), when ER was at its height of popularity and networks were paying massive amounts of money to talent. As a result, Noah is one of the highest-paid actors on TV, and we're breaking down his net worth for everyone feeling a) nosy b) like being mad at your parents for not enrolling you in acting classes.

How Much Did Noah Wyle Make on ER?

Literally had to go on a whole journey involving reading articles from a time when the internet barely existed to find this out, but we got there! Back in 1998, Variety reported that Noah had signed a "record" deal through 2002 for "a bit less" than $35 million / $400,000 per episode. He also got a $1 million bonus.

But wait, there's more. According to Entertainment Weekly back in 2001, Noah signed another deal taking him through 2003-2004 that put him at $9 million per year. There are also royalties to take into account—and while no one has reported what Noah in ER residuals, we can turn to another popular show from the same era: Friends. As of 2015, Yahoo reports that Warner Bros was allegedly earning $1 billion a year from the show, and 2% of that ($20 million) went to each core member of the cast. Every single year!

Point is: Noah clearly never needed to work again after ER, but then The Pitt came along....

How Much Does Noah Wyle Make on The Pitt?

This is slightly more complicated. The Pitt, per Deadline, uses "fixed salaries," which means everyone on the show makes the same amount per episode: either $50,000 or $35,000 depending on how big a character they are.

However, it seems like Noah is an exception to this rule. As Deadline put it "Besides the lead, played by series' executive producer Noah Wyle, the remaining nine series-regular roles were put out for casting with a per-episode fee attached — $50K an episode for some and $35K an episode for the rest."

In other words, it seems very unlikely that Noah is only making $50,000 an episode—but his exact salary hasn't been reported.

What Is Noah Wyle's Total Net Worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has $25 million sitting in the bank. But he also has a ton of money tied up in real estate: Noah bought a 45-acre ranch in Santa Ynez, California for $2.5 million back in 2006. It's obviously worth a lot more now—in fact, in 2013 he sold off just 12 acres of the land for $2 million! Oh, and he also owns a home in Solvang, California, casual.
