- There's allegedly a plot called "Project Thaw" that aims to ease tensions between Prince Harry, the royals, and the British public.
- Prince Harry has been semi-estranged from his family since stepping down from senior royal duties.
- There are reports that Harry wants to set up "a fully functioning royal court in Britain."
Today in over-the-top dramatic royal family news, apparently there are plans afoot to reunite King Charles with Prince Harry. According to royal expert Richard Eden in the Daily Mail, this "plot" is known as "Project Thaw" and the aim of it is to "warm up" Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's "frosty relationships with the rest of the Royal Family and with the British people." King Charles himself is said to be involved, as well as several senior government ministers.
Unclear why a "plot" needs to be afoot when everyone could just, you know, hop on the phone and talk to each other—but the situation is definitely complicated considering Prince William (heir to the throne) is said to be resistant to reuniting with his younger brother. Meanwhile, Prince Harry just won a review in his bid to win back official tax-funded security in the United Kingdom.
This comes amid Rob Shuter's ShuterScoop reporting that Harry is laying the groundwork for "a fully functioning royal court in Britain" that will "rival" that of Prince William. Per an insider, "He’s been playing the long game. Harry wants legitimacy. He wants to operate in the U.K. on his own terms-meetings, charitable work, high-level engagements-without being treated like a guest in his own country."
"This isn’t just about security. It’s about creating a separate royal ecosystem. He’s building a court, and he’s doing it carefully," another source says, while yet another adds "William has his court. Harry wants his. This isn’t about a return to the family-it’s about competing with them."
