• The White House has used songs by artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo to promote Immigration and Customs Enforcement without permission.
  • The musicians have clapped back at the Trump administration for using their music to promote their “evil and disgusting” agenda amid ICE raids across the country.
  • SZA is the latest artist to speak out against the White House after they used her Saturday Night Live song “Big Boys” in a video.

The White House has caught another stray from a Grammy-winning artist. The latest musician that has fallen victim to the White House’s unauthorized use of their work is SZA—and she isn’t holding back, either.

In a video posted on their official social media account using her Saturday Night Live spoof “Big Boys,” the White House wrote, “WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN. Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.”

The “Kill Bill” hitmaker wasted no time in slamming the post, writing, “White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity +shock and aw tactics ..Evil n Boring.”

Her manager, Punch, also criticized the move, writing, “Trying to provoke artist[s] to respond in order to help spread propaganda and political agendas is nasty business. Knock it off.”

This isn’t the first time the White House has attempted to use pop girlies to promote ICE. After the Trump administration used Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo’s music in their social media posts without permission, the musicians slammed them for pushing an “inhumane” agenda and clarified that they have no part in it.

In November 2024, Olivia commented, “Ew don’t use my sound ever again ty,” in response to President Trump’s campaign using her song “deja vu” in a TikTok clip celebrating his victory in the presidential election.

Nearly a year later, she slammed them again for using her GUTS fan-favorite, “all-american bitch,” in a since-deleted video promoting ICE’s deportation efforts and encouraging immigrants to self-deport.

“Don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda,” she wrote under the post at the time. Both the post and her comment have since been taken down after going viral and making headlines.

They then pivoted to her peer, Sabrina, when they soundtracked another video with “Juno.” Per The Independent, the White House’s post featured ICE agents chasing down and arresting people with the caption, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.”

“This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” the “Manchild” singer wrote.

While the White House hasn’t responded to SZA’s reaction, there’s a chance they might, since they publicly blasted Sabrina in a statement published by Politico.
