Kelsea Ballerini just opened up about keeping her personal life personal amid reports that Chase Stokes wants to give their relationship another shot.
During an Instagram AMA, Kelsea told fans, "If i had one favor, it would be honoring that im trying to make my personal life personal for now." She didn't reference Chase or their recent breakup, but did say, "Unless it comes from me, its not from me. and that is really important in protecting my peace right now."
Chase confirmed the couple's split a few weeks ago, hopping on Instagram and writing, "Don't believe the media. I'm blocked, I did nothing wrong. Sorry. I tried. I'm sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is. Onwards and upwards."
Since then, sources have claimed Chase is interested in getting back together—with an insider telling the Daily Mail that "he is taking the breakup very hard. He's hoping that the holidays will be a way back in and he is trying to get her back, but she hasn't let him. But there is a thing about persistence—it seems to work."
Another source previously told Us Weekly that things have been "rocky and toxic" between Chase and Kelsea, and that "it was too much for Kelsea." They added that "jealousy definitely got in the way" and that Kelsea "had a lot of trust issues" with Chase, saying, "Chase really did try to make it work and loves her. There’s a chance they could get back together."
