Hailey Bieber would like a word about her marriage to Justin Bieber. After months of speculation and questionable reports surrounding their relationship, the Rhode founder gave a much-needed update on where they stand during her cover story interview for GQ’s Men of the Year issue.
When asked how she and JB balance their public and private moments since welcoming their one-year-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, last year, Hailey admitted, “We’re just taking it a day at a time.”
Hailey told the outlet, “We both feel very protective of our son and I don’t think that’s ever going to change, but our life is our life and it is really public, so I think we’re just going to cross every bridge that we need to when we get there.”
The beauty mogul also got candid about keeping certain aspects of their life private, adding, “I feel really comfortable about the way we are sharing things and not sharing things.”
Her update comes after reports that she and her Grammy-winning husband had been having trouble in their marriage. However, as Justin’s album, SWAG, was released back in August, a source told Us Weekly that “tension has settled” between the pair.
“The intense focus and emotional toll of creating new music had put a strain on their marriage. When Justin is in the studio making new music, he gets completely consumed and shuts everything else out,” the insider said at the time, adding that Hailey was taking “it day by day and is very patient” with Justin.
It seems the couple is doing well these days, as Hailey dished about collaborating with Justin on a leather jacket for his apparel and accessories brand, Skylrk, during her GQ interview.
“I am designing this jacket with them and I feel like that’s a super-fun collaborative process to do with his brand. I think Skylrk is incredible and amazing and everything they’re doing and building there is super, super cool, and I’m just happy that they want me to be a part of it and that they have asked me to come in and make something with them,” she gushed, adding, “It’s obviously really fun when you get to be able to do anything with the person that you love.”
