The Selling Sunset season 9 reunion may have dropped, but the season’s drama is far from over. The latest development: Mary Bonnet may have just confirmed that Emma Hernan broke up with Blake Davis, aka the controversial real estate heir who caused a major fallout between Emma and her former bestie, Chrishell Stause.
When asked on November 7 by SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio about Emma’s love life (which was one of the hottest topics discussed during of the season 9 reunion), Mary said, “I’m not worried. I’m not worried for Emma.” She then said of Emma and Blake, “They are not together right now. Not that I know of.” Oh??
Fans are a little skeptical, seeing as Emma just posted a TikTok of herself riding on the back of Blake’s jet ski just three days earlier...but then again, Blake did just make his Instagram private. And of course, this wouldn’t be the first time he and Emma went their separate ways.
Seeing as Emma and Blake’s relationship timeline is more than a little confusing, let’s take a moment to revisit it. Starting with...
Emma and Blake started dating in December 2023.
As Blake previously revealed during an interview with the Daily Mail, he and Emma first became an item in December 2023.
Emma introduced Blake to Chrishell in early 2024.
You know that scene in season 9 where Blake joins Emma, Chrishell, and Chelsea Lazkani for lunch and doesn’t exactly make a great impression? As it turns out, that scene was actually recycled from season 8...which means it was filmed all the way back in early 2024.
How do I know? For one, Chelsea is wearing a wedding ring in the scene, despite filing for divorce in March 2024. Plus, Chrishell previously shared a BTS look at “days of filming didn’t make it into season 8” on Instagram in September 2024, including a “scene where Emma introduced us to who she actually WAS dating.” Pls note the outfits:
Emma also previously revealed during an interview with Us Weekly that Blake was supposed to appear in season 8 of the show but ended up getting his scenes cut.
Oh, and it was likely soon after this lunch that Blake referred to Chrishell’s partner G Flip (who is nonbinary) as “her wife,” sparking tension.
Per Blake’s May 2025 interview with the Daily Mail, he’s only ever met Chrishell “a handful of times,” with the last meeting taking place “a year-and-a-half ago” in “January 2024.”
He claimed, “The only time we had a real conversation was when I met Ms. Stause at her house with Emma. I regretfully referred to G Flip as Ms. Stause’s wife. Ms. Stause corrected me that they were partners and that G Flip goes by the pronoun them. Since, I have respectfully used the preferred pronouns.”
Oookay!
Emma and Blake broke up sometime before September 2024...and got back together sometime before December 2024.
In the above-mentioned Instagram post from September 2024, Chrishell suggested that Blake and Emma had since split, considering her use of the past tense “was.” (Plus, she made a point to add, “This was pretty funny bc I didn’t like him. So maybe it’s for the best 😆😅.”)
But by the time that Emma gave that December 2024 Us Weekly interview, she made it clear that she and Blake were back on (even though she never actually revealed the name of her “boyfriend”).
Emma and Blake broke up again in early 2025...and got back together sometime before May 2025.
Season 9 of Selling Sunset (which was filmed between late 2024 and February 2025) saw Emma reunite with her “old flame” Blake, only to break up with him again by the end of the season.
But then! As Chrishell later revealed during the reunion, Emma and Blake were back on by the time she and Chrishell attended Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour together—where, apparently, Emma dipped early.
(Side note: Per Emma’s Instagram, Chrishell is wearing the same exact ’fit from her lunch with Blake, which is likely a total coincidence but is still making me question everything. But I digress!)
“You told me that you were going to Boston to see your family and that’s why you had to leave early. That’s what you told me,” Chrishell said to Emma during the reunion, adding, “The next day she shows up in the Bahamas with Blake.”
Not long after the Cowboy Carter Tour drama, a fan slid into Chrishell’s comments to ask, “What’s happening with you and Emma?” to which Chrishell replied, “Ask her about her MAGA bf who told me pronouns are dumb and that he likes to use the N word. I just can’t with that. Too old to allow that in. But love her from afar.”
Emma and Blake broke up again in July 2025...and got back together sometime before September 2025.
In July, TMZ announced that Emma and Blake had called it quits following his “public feud” with Chrishell, noting, “Emma saw a side of him that turned her all the way off.”
Emma then confirmed the news herself with a TikTok, which she captioned, “POV: You’re single for the summer getting your passport stamped.”
It’s unclear whether Emma and Blake were together during the season 9 reunion (which was filmed in August 2025)...but by September, the exes had definitely reconciled, as evidenced by a video posted by Emma of herself and Blake doing a “couples challenge.”
Since then, Emma has continually defended Blake’s treatment of herself and her friends (even after Chrishell aired his questionable social media activity). However, based on Mary’s update, it’s possible that Emma finally decided to cut ties for good (or, at least, for now).
