After watching the Love Is Blind season 9 reunion, it’s clear that none of the engaged couples were meant to get married. Less clear? The reason why Megan Walerius and Jordan Keltner broke up. Now, Megan is telling her story, including what happened with Jordan off-camera that made her question their relationship.
Opening up in a new interview with Us Weekly, Megan explained that all was well when the couple first came home from Mexico, but things shifted ten days before the wedding. “We had our first full day without cameras and without work,” she said. “It was just him and I and our chance to connect and have fun without cameras or anything. I saw a different side of Jordan—not bad, but very quiet.”
Seeing this change in her fiancé was “scary” for Megan, who added, “This is a totally different Jordan than I was used to.”
Of course, since filming, she’s come to understand what he was going through. “The demands of filming are a lot more intense than I think people realize,” she explained. “Jordan really was working at his 9 to 5, and then managing both time with me and [his son] Luca, I think that was a lot for him and wore on him.”
Looking back, Megan sees that Jordan needed the day without filming “to recharge,” but it still caused her to have doubts. “It was a little scary for me. Like, ‘Do we really have that much in common? Or when this is all said and done, are we just going to be sitting across the dinner table staring at each other? Are we actually going to have fun like we did in the pods and have that connection?’”
As for where she and Jordan stand now, there’s no bad blood about the breakup or the fact that Megan recently welcomed a baby with her new partner, Paul Wegman. In fact, in a separate interview with Us Weekly, Jordan revealed that they were all hoping to get together soon. “We’re talking about getting dinner,” he said. “There’s no bad blood anywhere, and nothing but love for their family.”
