- Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie had "no warning" of Andrew being stripped of his "Prince" title and removed from the Royal Lodge.
- Beatrice is "terrified of losing access."
- Staff reports crisis meetings, frantic calls, and concern over "how far William will go."
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly reeling from their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, being stripped of his "prince" title and forced to move out of the Royal Lodge.
On top of reports that the sisters have quietly left the country amid their dad's scandal, Rob Shuter's #ShuterScoop reports that Beatrice and Eugenie had "no warning" that Andrew's "Prince" title would be stripped.
"Beatrice sobbed," a close friend says. "She’s terrified of losing access, influence… everything she was born into."
Another insider says, "It’s like a curtain dropped. People don’t want the association."
Meanwhile, #ShuterScoop spoke to "staff" who said there have been "late-night family crisis meetings, frantic calls to advisers, and conflicting guidance from aides who don’t know how far William will go."
But it sounds like at the very least Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's titles are safe. A Daily Mail source said yesterday (October 30) that King Charles wants to "protect" his nieces and "wouldn't have wanted to sign off on anything that would impact them."
Here's Buckingham Palace's statement, in case you missed it!
"His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, not withstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
