Very few people end up going on a date with the celeb crush who once covered their bedroom walls (a true but sad fact). But in today’s episode of Blind Date, viewers can live vicariously through Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennett as she joined this exclusive club upon realizing the one-and-only Chad Michael Murray was sitting across from her.

In this video series, a blindfolded Willa must guess the identity of her famous dates by asking them a series of questions, and let's just say Chad is far from a disappointing date. He managed to lay on the perfect amount of charm while still gushing adorably about his wife and kids. (Quite the feat, guys.)

While answering questions from an ‘80s issue of Cosmo, Chad revealed he’s not one to mix cuddling with serious sleeping and will tackle a plumbing emergency head-first before seeking outside help. (Respect.) He practically gave a masterclass in first moves while recounting how things started with his wife and even shared his dream casting for a movie about his Blind Date experience. Pro tip: always tell your date that Anne Hathaway should play them in a movie. Whether they look like her or not, they’ll be flattered, promise.

As the date came to a close, Chad spoke honestly about why dating wasn’t as easy as you’d think during his Another Cinderella Story era and, of course, about how much he loves everybody’s forever-icon, Hilary Duff. He channeled Gilmore Girls Tristan Dugray to deliver some incredible pick-up lines and shared his theory that publicity relationships don’t exist (his publicist quickly debunked this one). Ultimately, Chad declined Willa’s proposal for date number two—he is married, after all—but it's impossible to get mad at a man who loves his family and rejects you with care. Tune in for all of this and more in this week’s Blind Date episode. Happy watching!
