- Earlier this year, Kris Jenner stunned fans when she revealed she went under the knife for her second facelift since 2011.
- Naturally, Kris documented her journey on the latest season of The Kardashians, which premiered on Hulu on Oct. 23.
- Kim Kardashian also weighed in on her facelift, admitting that her mom had been mistaken for her after the procedure.
Is there a new member of the KarJenner clan? Nope, it’s just Kris Jenner. The famous family’s matriarch stunned fans when she got a facelift earlier this year, marking her second time undergoing the procedure since 2011—and the fact that Kris showed before-and-after shots of her recent facelift on The Kardashians shouldn’t come as a shock to many.
During the season 7 premiere, a clip from last season’s confessionals showed Kris pre-surgery as she told producers, “So take a good look at this moneymaker, because I am getting a facelift next week on Wednesday.” Her post-surgery look was then revealed during her first confessional for season 7.
Later in the episode, her daughter, Kim Kardashian, shared that her mom had a striking resemblance to her post-op as she was mistaken for her at a public event. “My mom, like everyone is talking about her face,” Kim said during a post-credits scene. “We were at Lauren Sánchez’s bachelorette dinner and someone taps my mom on the shoulder and they go, ‘Kim?’”
The SKIMS mogul continued, “She must have told this story 500 times. She is milking this. I am so happy that now I know where I can go when the time comes.”
Over the years, Kris has been open about her health journey and cosmetic enhancements, especially through her reality shows. She’s no stranger to having a camera crew around for milestone moments, from her children’s weddings to the births of her grandkids...and in the KarJenner world, treatments and surgeries are no different.
Before sharing her story on The Kardashians, Kris got candid about her facelift during an interview with Vogue Arabia in August, saying, “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh. I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.”
“If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully—meaning you don’t want to do anything, then don’t do anything,” she told the outlet. “I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about themselves.”
This isn’t the first time she’s chronicled surgery on the fan-favorite reality series—Kris also documented her hip replacement surgery on the show in 2022. “Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it,” she shared with Vogue. “I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful.”
Honestly, good on Kim—we mean, Kris—for keeping it real.
