• On the Good Guys podcast, John Stamos criticized Lori Loughlin’s ex, Mossimo Giannulli, calling him a “terrible narcissist” who “dragged her through” the 2019 college admissions scandal.
  • John insisted Lori had no knowledge of the scheme, calling her a “saint” and saying she was unfairly punished for Mossimo’s actions.
  • This isn’t John’s first time defending his Full House costar—he made similar comments in 2022, emphasizing that Lori was only peripherally involved.

When it comes to Lori Loughlin vs. Mossimo Giannulli, John Stamos made it *very* clear where he stands. During a recent appearance on Josh Peck and Ben Soffer’s Good Guys podcast, the Full House alum went off Lori’s ex, calling him a “terrible narcissist” and even claiming that “he dragged her through” the 2019 college admissions scandal.

As a reminder: Lori and Mossimo reportedly paid $500,000 to have their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli, incorrectly listed as crew recruits, in order to get them accepted into the University of Southern California. But according to John, this scheme was all Mossimo’s idea.

“With the college scandal...I’m not going to debate whether she had much to do with it or not. I know she didn’t,” said John. “He dragged her through that...and she goes to fucking prison for this asshole.”

According to John, Lori (who he calls a “saint”) didn’t seem to have any idea what was happening before she and her ex were arrested for their alleged involvement in the scandal. (Per John: Lori told him, “Mossimo handles all that stuff.”) And when asked about his former TV wife’s recent recent split, John made it clear once again that he’s Team Lori.

“All of a sudden they’re split up and I know she’s just devastated,” he said. “For a girl who has lived her life really well, [is] a good person, a good mother, a good wife...to be thrown into this separation... I just hate to see her go through this.”

However! When asked about the rumors that Mossimo cheated on Lori, John said he’s “taking a fifth on that,” noting, “Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core.”

This isn’t the first time John has gone to bat for his Full House costar. Back in 2022 during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the actor made a similar claim, saying, “She wasn’t really the architect of any of it. She was in the way background. She didn’t know what was going on.”

He went on to add that Lori’s punishment was reason enough for people to give her a break. “She also paid a lot of money,” he continued. “She set up a college fund for kids and she went to fucking jail, man.”
