• Kate Middleton and Prince William have changed the date of their move to Forest Lodge, and plan to be in the home by November 5.
  • Builders have been working "flat out" to hit the deadline—which was originally scheduled for Christmas.
  • The Prince and Princess of Wales plan to make Forest Lodge their "forever home."

Kate Middleton and Prince William are gearing up to move into their "forever home" Forest Lodge, and apparently they're eager to ditch Adelaide Cottage ASAP and get settled.

While they were initially planning to move into Forest Lodge by Christmas, the royal couple pushed their move-in date up to "Bonfire Night," which is on November 5. The Daily Mail reports that "builders have been working around the clock to bring their moving date forward" and work is officially complete—meaning their scheduled arrival is "imminent."

Apparently, Kate and William's staff are currently "transferring the family's belongings into the newly renovated property," and a source says, "It is hoped they will be in the new home in time for Bonfire Night. That will make a fun start for the children."

Another source notes that "Adelaide Cottage really does have some difficult memories associated with it, sadly. They have experienced some of their most challenging times there... The family are really happy about this [move] and excited for a fresh start."

"The builders have been working flat out, week-in, week-out, so that the family could move in as soon as possible," yet another insider adds. "Christmas was always the deadline but it's great that it's going to happen much earlier."

FYI, Kate has been involved in renovating the property, which has "been quite a fun process for her. She loves interior design and is a big champion of the British textiles industry. After all, this will be their forever home. They are ready as a family to move forwards."
