Netflix has just released their latest documentary series, which we guarantee you are going to binge-watch instantly—Victoria Beckham. The three part series follows Victoria's rise to fame in the Spice Girls, her marriage to David and her journey to create her fashion brand. Throughout the series Victoria is pretty candid about her relationship, her body image and the financial struggles her fashion house has had.

One thing she also opened up about was her relationship with her fellow Spice Girls, including Scary Spice aka Mel B, whom Victoria has long been rumored to have an alleged feud with. At the start of episode two, Victoria claimed Mel B had said to her: “Don't forget where you've come from.”

Victoria revealed the comment was upsetting and added: “I've never forgotten where I come from. I've never, ever forgotten that Posh Spice is the reason that I'm sitting here now.”

And this isn't the first time Victoria and Mel are believed to have not gotten on, here's everything to know about their friendship and their alleged feud.

Victoria Beckham and Mel B's Friendship Timeline

1994 — The Spice Girls are formed

In the mid 90s one of the world's best girl bands of all time formed, which included Mel B aka Scary Spice and Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice.

1995 — The pair fall out during a trip on holiday

In her 2002 memoir Catch a Fire, Mel claimed the pair fell out during a group trip to Hawaii. While on the trip, Mel had found a holiday romance and Victoria was reportedly “disgusted” at the holiday romance who releaved himself on the beach. Following this incident, the pair's relationship was said to never be the same again.

2000 — The band splits up

Following Geri Halliwell's departure from the band in 1998, the rest of the girls carried on performing and recording a new album. However, two years later in 2000 the band went on hiatus.

2007 — The Spice Girls gets back together

It was the news everyone was waiting for: The Spice Girls were back. In 2007 the group announced their return and a new tour.

During her documentary Victoria Beckham, Victoria revealed it was during these shows she realized she wasn't meant to be performing on stage anymore.

She said: “It was good to celebrate the Spice Girls but it was during that [2008] tour that I realized I didn't belong on stage. It had been fun but it wasn't what I loved anymore.”

Despite announcing a world tour, the reunion tour was abruptly cancelled with the band citing ‘family and personal commitments’ as the reason for the cancellation.

2016 — Victoria doesn't take part in “Wannabe” 20th anniversary video

To celebrate 20 years of the song “Wannabe,” three of the Spice Girls—Mel B, Geri, and Emma—reunited and created a video for the moment. However, Victoria and Mel C didn't take part, and Mel addressed their lack of appearance while appearing on the James Corden show.

When asked why Victoria and Mel C weren't appearing, Mel B jokingly said: “Because the other two bitches didn't want to do it.”

Mel B followed it up by saying Victoria was busy with her “great fashion line” as to why she actually couldn't take part in the reunion.

2018 — Mel B dresses up at Victoria for Halloween

Ahead of the band's reunion tour in 2019, there were rumors Victoria would be joining the girls on stage. However, this did not come to fruition.

Mel B then addressed those rumors by dressing up as Victoria for Halloween and carrying a sign that said “I am NOT going on tour.”

2019 — Victoria skips the reunion tour

In 2019 the majority of the band reunited for another tour, singing their biggest hits. However, Victoria chose not to take part due to her commitments with her fashion brand.

Following the tour, in which Victoria did not perform or attend as a guest, Mel B expressed her disappointment at Victoria skipping the shows.

While speaking on Good Morning Britain, Mel said: “I expected her to come and just say hi at least. Not even on stage, just as an audience member supporting.

“I’m sure she has her reasons for not. I’ve already said, ‘yeah I was upset’, I still am a little bit. It is what it is and us girls we all support each other no matter what, but yeah it is disappointing. Wedding, Spice Girls show…”

Mel, however, denied there was a rift between the two. When asked if Victoria skipping the show would cause problems between them, Mel said: “No [it’s not a rift]. We’re all adults, we all have to respectfully get on with whatever. But it is a bit disappointing, let’s put it that way.”

2021 — Victoria supports Mel B's domestic abuse campaign

The tide appeared to turn in 2021 when Victoria shared her support for Mel B's domestic abuse campaign with Women's Aid.

2024 — All the Spice Girls reunite

The Spice Girls proved friendship never ends when all five of them reunited for Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party.

However, while it mostly appears to be smooth sailing between Victoria and Mel, there is one sign of trouble. Mel follows Victoria's account on Instagram, while Victoria's account doesn't follow Mel's account.
