Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding weekend is (reportedly) here, but the question still begs: Is Taylor Swift going to make it to Selena’s wedding?
As you’re probably already aware, Tay has a lot going on at the moment. Her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, drops one week from today on October 3, and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, is in the thick of football season. That said, a source for the Daily Mail just confirmed that Taylor will, in fact, be in attendance at Sel’s nuptials.
“Taylor is planning to attend but she’ll probably be going solo, as Travis has a game in Kansas the next day,” the insider said. “That’s all still under discussion.”
Back in July, the Daily Mail was the first to share details about Selena and Benny’s big day, noting that—while the wedding is going to be small—there will definitely be celebs in attendance: “Although it’s for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena’s co-stars from Only Murders in the Building, and music superstars who are Benny’s friends and some he’s also worked with.”
A separate source added, “Selena is not having her wedding to accommodate Taylor, but she wants her to attend and she would love for her to be able to go with Travis.” Luckily, it seems like Taylor will be there for the celebration, even if Travis can’t make it.
Speaking of RSVPs, the same Daily Mail insider who confirmed Taylor’s attendance revealed that another A-lister sadly won’t be able to make it: Sel’s Only Murders in the Building costar Meryl Streep.
Per the source, Meryl was initially “planning to attend but told Selena she now won’t be able to,” though fret not—Meryl’s rumored boyfriend, Martin Short, will be there alongside Steve Martin.
As previously reported by The Sun, Sel and Benny’s wedding is taking place “on September 27 at a private estate in Santa Barbara,” though the venue is being kept a secret even from guests. The couple has also “rented out the exclusive El Encanto hotel” for their guests to stay.
