• Corey Feldman appears to deny claims that he skipped rehearsals for Dancing with the Stars, insisting he was there “seven days a week.”
  • Corey and pro Jenna Johnson were eliminated in Week 2 after two low scores.
  • Jenna’s brother-in-law, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, previously said Jenna had “an uphill climb” with Corey this season.

Corey Feldman may have gone home this week on Dancing with the Stars, but the former child star wants it to be known that it wasn’t due to lack of trying. After a few weeks of speculation, Corey has now seemingly responded to reports that he didn’t get along with his pro partner, Jenna Johnson, or put in the work in rehearsals.

In an Instagram comment made under Jenna’s Instagram post marking their elimination, Corey wrote, in part, “I’m so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable. And you know as well as I do that I was there seven days a week for the past three weeks, doing everything in my power to give you my best, even if the judges couldn’t see it.”

Corey may be keeping up a brave face on social media, but according to sources, his DWTS elimination has left him feeling “pretty defeated.” A source told Page Six, “The most upsetting thing is the narrative that he didn’t show up and that he and his partner Jenna didn’t get along. Corey showed up every day and worked his ass off.”

Page Six also reported that Corey was dealing with personal issues that also took their toll, most notably headlines regarding comments Charlie Sheen made about Corey in his new Netflix documentary.

Reports that Corey was missing rehearsals began pretty much immediately after the DWTS season 34 cast was announced on Good Morning America on September 3. Fans noticed something was up when all of the season’s couples began posting TikToks and content on social media—with the exception of Jenna and Corey. Jenna was forced to admit that, four days later, she had yet to see Corey in rehearsals due to his previous work commitments.

Corey did eventually return to the studio, and the two got right into the swing of things, dancing and filming content for fans. However, rumors of behind-the-scenes discord kicked up again when Maksim Chmerkovskiy, former DWTS pro and Jenna’s brother-in-law, told Daily Mail that the season had been “really difficult for her.”

Maksim continued, “Obviously, Jenna has a bit of an uphill climb with Corey, which is easy for everybody else to say...but I know that she’s having a much more difficult time with this entire thing and to the point that it is really difficult for her.” He also seemed to imply that Corey didn’t have the work ethic to commit to DWTS.
