- Travis Kelce made an “obscene gesture” on the field during a Chiefs vs. Eagles game on Sunday, September 14.
- The moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.
- Travis has received a hefty fine from the NFL for making the move.
Travis Kelce’s karma is coming back around. During the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles game on Sunday, September 14, the tight end got caught in the heat of the moment and had an NSFW reaction after making a 23-yard reception.
Once he made the play, he motioned toward his crotch—and it was all caught on camera. Sports anchor Tom Pelissero also shared the clip on social media, earning more than 6.5 million views since the game.
Unfortunately, Travis’ “obscene gesture” at Arrowhead Stadium came at a cost, as NBC Sports reported that he’s been fined $14,491 for “unsportsmanlike conduct” on the field.
The game marked the first time the Chiefs and the Eagles have faced off since the 2025 Super Bowl, and tensions were high as Travis slammed his helmet on the field in the second quarter, yelling, “I’m sick of this shit!”
Naturally, football fans had mixed reactions to Travis’ fine, with one writing, “They should only be able to fine you if they describe in practical terms what the player did with super clarification LOL.” Another chimed in, “Are you f-ing kidding me. These fines are getting ridiculous.”
The Kansas City tight end wasn’t the only one to catch a fine during the September 14 game, though. The Eagles’ running back Saquon Barkley was fined $46,371 for “impermissable use of the helmet/launching” after lowering his helmet before running toward the Chiefs’ safety, Chamarri Conner.
Oh, and if you’re wondering whether Taylor Swift caught these viral moments in person: She apparently did, as she attended the September 14 game after making a (somewhat) incognito entrance.
This was the Chiefs’ second game—and loss—of the season, with a score of 20-17. They also lost against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on Friday, September 5.
