• The royals snubbed Prince Harry's birthday by not celebrating him on social media.
  • Prince Harry turned 41 on September 15.
  • The royals are said to be "livid" after Harry's recent public comments about their estrangement.

Prince Harry turned 41 a couple days ago, and while his birthday was sweetly celebrated in public by Meghan Markle with a cute pic, it was completely ignored by the royals. Which is pretty significant considering they made sure to wish him happy birthday last year (though to be fair it was his 40th—a big milestone):

This year's birthday snub comes just days after Prince Harry met with King Charles for the first time in 19 months, which was said to have been a positive experience. However, Harry gave an interview to The Guardian shortly after, where he defended his memoir, Spare, and spoke about his estrangement with the royals—which made them "livid."

"I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative," Harry said. "The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected. I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear." He added, "you cannot have reconciliation before you have truth."

A palace insider told Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop that "Harry’s mouth is his biggest problem. Every time he opens it, he digs the hole deeper," while another added, "He acts like repeating these stories helps, but it just twists the knife. The family is livid—they let him back in, and this is how he repays them."

TBD on how this might impact the family's endless feud but clearly the royals weren't in the birthday celebration mood!
