It’s a good time to be a belieber. Not only did Justin Bieber drop two albums in 2025, SWAG and SWAG II, but he just took them to the stage at Coachella. According toRolling Stone, JB was “fully in the driver’s seat” on the deal, as he reportedly scored his highly anticipated headlining gig without an agent.
“It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own,” a source close to the Grammy winner revealed back in September 2025. “Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin—one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat.”
As for his Coachella salary, an insider shared that he’s getting paid $10 million, or $5 million for each weekend of the beloved music fest. He won’t have to shave any of it off for an agency commission, meaning he’ll receive most—if not all—of that money for himself.
As for the performance itself? Justin’s first weekend set on Saturday, April 11 earned…mixed reviews. Per Billboard, Justin spent “roughly 25 minutes of his Coachella headlining set going down an internet rabbit hole,” playing clips like “Deez Nuts” as well as his 2008 cover of “With You” (and other videos from the early Belieber years), and the YouTube of it all had people a bit torn.
Katy Perry joked on Instagram, “Thank God he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads,” while Zara Larsson posted “It’s giving lets smoke and watch YouTube” on TikTok, adding, “He’s in my dream blunt rotation.” (Though for the record: Zara later clarified that her joke wasn’t intended as shade and that she was, in fact, “vibing” with his performance.)
Regardless of how his Weekend 1 performance was received, Bieberchella has certainly been one for the books (not to mention very good for JB’s wallet).
