Big news: After four consecutive nominations and three losses, Hacks star Hannah Einbinder finally took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 2025 Emmys. While accepting her award, part of Hannah’s speech got censored. If you (like us) were wondering, “Um, what got bleeped from Hannah Einbinder’s speech??” then you’ve come to the right place because we’ve got answers.
After thanking all the usuals (her costars, her family, etc.), Hannah knew she was running low on time (which host Nate Bargatze is strictly monitoring by taking funds away from the Boys & Girls Club for every celeb who goes over their allotted speech time)...but still, she had time to squeeze in one last sentiment.
Her message: “Go Birds, fuck ICE, and free Palestine.”
Of course, the “fuck ICE” portion ended up getting bleeped, but it didn’t take long for internet sleuths to figure out what she’d said.
Before her speech was bleeped, Hannah walked the carpet, where she confirmed that the show’s upcoming fifth season would be its last.
“It will feel different,” she told E! host Heather McMahan. “We’re going to start [filming] next week, and knowing it’s the last season is really bittersweet. But I think it’s right, you know? It’s nice to do something as many times as it should be done. Not overstay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”
And when Heather repeated the “rip it” quote back to Hannah, she doubled down, saying, “You can quote me on that. I’m going on the record on that.”
Truly not ready to say goodbye to Hannah, Jean Smart, and the rest of the crew!
