If you've been wondering how Miranda Kerr feels about her ex Orlando Bloom splitting up with Katy Perry, she just dished her surprisingly candid thoughts during a live interview.

Miranda was asked about the couple's breakup during KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show. Specifically, Kyle asked, "Was it mutual?" and Miranda confirmed, "Yes, and I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating [their daughter] Daisy's birthday. We're one big, happy family. Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando obviously."

She added that it's important to keep breakups "harmonious" when kids are involved, saying, "If you do have animosity, it only hurts yourself."

Katy and Orlando confirmed their split after weeks of speculation in July, when their rep issued a statement saying, "Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."

A source told People, "Katy and Orlando have been suffering through the same problems that have plagued them for years. [They had] too much going on in their lives, which makes it hard to find time for each other and iron out disagreements. When they don't communicate properly, their relationship dips to a low level."

This insider also claimed they'd "been living on an island of stress" and that "sometimes love isn't enough to keep two people with different styles and outlooks on how things are done [together]. It can overshadow the love."
