It’s been a wild month for reality TV star JaNa Craig. After a painfully public breakup with her Love Island USA match, Kenny Rodriguez, she became the subject of countless tabloid articles and fan speculation. But those days appear to be dwindling as a new report from TMZ suggests that JaNa is dating rapper Key Glock.
In a video posted to TMZ’s Instagram on August 19, JaNa can be seen seen approaching the rapper mid-interview, asking him if he’s ready to go. When the reporter freaks out and notes that JaNa is wearing a “date outfit,” the Beyond the Villa star denies that the two are doing anything romantic, insisting, “It’s not a date.” She then adds that they are “just working.”
JaNa might seem like she’s in a rush in the video, but if you look at the TMZ website, you can see that she also stopped to chat with the reporter for a solo interview. In it, she talked about Love Island USA season 7 winners, Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales, and said she still believes reality TV couples can make it.
However, when asked what’s next for her, JaNa played coy. “Who knows? I’m just chillin’,” she said with a smile, adding, “We back outside.”
As much as fans might want JaNa and Key Glock to be dating, I’m skeptical. The TMZ interviews feel staged, and it seems more likely that JaNa was telling the truth when she told the reporter that the duo was “just working.” But working on what?
After the TMZ report went live, the rapper posted a cryptic message to fans on his Instagram Stories, writing the words “Glock Island” followed by a palm tree emoji. Taking this message into account—paired with JaNa’s glam, the TMZ reporter’s mention of Key Glock’s new album, and the fact that JaNa said they were working—all leads me to suspect that they aren’t dating but instead filming a music video together.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see...
