Kristin Cavallari is opening up about her single era. The Hills alum just caught fans up to speed on her love life during the most recent episode of her Let’s Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari podcast, where she discussed her breakup with the Montana Boyz’s Mark Estes and how she’s been navigating the dating scene since.
Before getting into the details, she revealed her bond with her longtime friend Justin Anderson has provided clarity and comfort amid her split from Mark. “I really am able to get a lot from Justin, which, hey, maybe that’s why I haven’t felt the need to settle or make a man work,” she said during the August 19 episode. “Because I’ve gained a lot from Justin that I would need from a man.”
She added, “Other than sex, obviously, which we won’t even go there ’cause the lack of that is, that’s really sad.”
The Uncommon James founder then admitted that her sex life had dulled down a bit since she wasn’t going out on many dates after her split with Mark.
“I haven’t been dating this year, you guys. I haven’t been dating,” she explained. “I did just go on a date, and it was a great date, and it was a really great first date back in the game.”
She continued, “But I am kind of back out there, not back out there. I went on one date. But I was excited to go on a date. I’ve needed this year to kind of just focus on myself.”
ICYMI, Kristin and Mark dated for nearly seven months before they broke up in September 2024. The reality TV personality dropped the bombshell during a live taping for Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast at her Unwell Tour stop in Austin, Texas.
When Alex said Kristin was in a relationship, the former reality TV personality confirmed that she and Mark had split, saying, “It’s fresh,” and even admitting, “My plan was not to say it.”
In October 2024, she shared more details about what led to the end of her relationship with Mark on Let’s Be Honest.
“It’s hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it’s not right, and it’s not because of love lost or something bad happened,” she said at the time. “He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I just know long-term, he needs to experience life, he’s young... I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience.”
