Be careful what you do on social media—someone is always watching. Take Jason Ralph, Rachel Brosnahan’s husband, who liked a shady comment about David Corenswet on Instagram and is now the subject of a heated online debate: Is he a trash husband, or is he a troll?

One look at Instagram, and it’s easy to see that Jason is not a super online guy. His last Instagram post is from June, and before that, he hadn’t posted since December of 2024. So fans noticed when he liked a comment left on one of his posts that accused Rachel of having an affair with her Superman co-star David.

The comment: “It’s genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn’t handle herself with her co-actor. Like bro.. let’s have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day.”

Fans screenshotted proof that Jason (or whoever is running his account) liked the message, but the comments on his Instagram have since been removed and turned off entirely. Now fans online are criticizing him, accusing the Magicians star of being insecure and jealous of his wife’s success, which would make sense...if he liked the comment seriously. However, I have my doubts.

IMO, here are the most plausible possible explanations:

  1. He liked it by accident. It’s almost too easy to like things on Instagram by accident. Just the other day, I was scrolling and accidentally liked a Team Jeremiah reel—big yikes! And do we really think he would like this wildly sexist and weird comment out of the blue? Jason and Rachel might be celebrities, but they’ve been pretty good about keeping their relationship private. Why would he suddenly decide to announce his (supposed) marital problems to the world by liking a random comment?
  2. He's trolling the troll. Jason’s fans know him to be a bit of an internet troll who might, for example, like a wild comment just for giggles.

Whatever his motivation, something tells me Jason will never like an Instagram comment ever again.
