Kate Middleton just had a major personal style moment, stepping out in Christian Dior for the first time ever (at least in public). The Princess of Wales welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, for their state visit alongside Prince William and King Charles, wearing the 30 Montaigne Rose Des Vents Bar Jacket from Dior's 2024 collection. She paired the blush pink look with earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana, who wore Dior frequently.
Kate's appearance comes after she unexpectedly skipped the Royal Ascot—a move that caused "panic" at the palace. She then opened up about her cancer recovery amid speculation and concern, reportedly saying "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult."
She added, "You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to. And actually, someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable."
Kate also said the experience is "life-changing" and that "You have to find your new normal and that takes time...and it's a rollercoaster, it's not smooth, like you expect it to be. But the reality is you go through hard times."
