Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have finally broken their silence about their split. The couple issued a statement via their rep, telling Us Weekly, "Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
No further information was given as to why they split, but clearly things are amicable.
The statement comes amid a source telling People that "Katy and Orlando have been suffering through the same problems that have plagued them for years. [They had] too much going on in their lives, which makes it hard to find time for each other and iron out disagreements. When they don't communicate properly, their relationship dips to a low level."
This insider added that Katy and Orlando had "been living on an island of stress" and that "sometimes love isn't enough to keep two people with different styles and outlooks on how things are done [together]. It can overshadow the love."
Another source told People that the former couple's relationship has been "breaking down the last couple of months, and that while things are "amicable," they "got to a point where they feel there is no going back to a healthy relationship and that it’s better to live separate lives."
