Like many dramatic celebrities going through breakups before him, Orlando Bloom just wandered over to Instagram to share a cryptic quote with his followers. The Lord of the Rings star—who was recently spotted with Sydney Sweeney in Venice—hopped on Instagram Stories to drop this quote from Daisaku Ikeda. Ahem:
“The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”
This musing is the closest the actor has come to giving a "statement" about his recent split from Katy Perry—which, for what it's worth, hasn't actually been confirmed by either party. That said, pretty much every major news outlet has reported on it—and things seem to be fully over.
A source recently told People that Orlando and Katy's relationship has been "breaking down the last couple of months and isn't looking good. They're pretty much done. Don’t really see them being able to turn things around here."
They added that "The split is amicable. They got to a point where they feel there is no going back to a healthy relationship and that it’s better to live separate lives. Katy doesn’t take the split lightly. She’s still doing great though."
Meanwhile, a Daily Mail insider recently said that "Katy has been through it the last few months. Leaving American Idol, releasing her lackluster album, the debacle over her space mission, and her struggling tour have been disappointing and stressful. There aren’t many people she can dump her emotions on, but obviously she can with Orlando. But with his work and juggling parenting, life as of late has put a strain on their relationship."
