Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially divorced, but they still have one pretty major thing tying them together: their giant $60.8 million mega-mansion, which they’ve been trying to sell forever. And apparently Ben is willing to slash the price even more than they already have to cut ties with his ex once and for all.
“Ben and J.Lo slashed the price on their Beverly Hills mansion for $8 million less than they paid for it, but this is nothing to Ben,” a source tells the Daily Mail. “He really just wants this to be sold so that he can cut the final cord that keeps him and Jennifer intertwined.”
They added that Ben “never wanted to shell out that much for this home to begin with” and that he knows J.Lo “will always have a presence in his life with their kids remaining best friends, but this house is the one last thing that is a symbol of their marriage. Ultimately, he just hopes that they find a buyer soon and does not care that he takes a multi-million-dollar cut. His marriage and divorce cost him millions and what is another couple million? It is a small price to pay for Ben.”
Another insider says that the actor is ready to “move on, get the sale over with, and worry about things that are important. Ben has to grow and move on. He just wants to live his life that, for the most part, has been very fortunate. Ben has had a lot of wins and with that comes a few losses.”
Just FYI, Bennifer initially tried to sell their home off-market for $65 million but that fell through, and they listed the house publicly for $68 million last summer. Then there was a $64 million offer from a New Jersey buyer in September, which fell through and led to them slashing the price by $8 million (meaning $855,000 loss). It’s been a whole thing!
