There's been a lot of speculation about whether or not Prince William will remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's titles when he becomes king, but apparently he has other priorities. Like making sure his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew is both "banished" and "vanished," something King Charles has failed to entirely do.
According to Fox News, Prince William will deal with "the Andrew problem" immediately upon stepping up to the throne. "Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew," royal expert Hilary Fordwich tells the outlet, noting that Wills holds "a grudge against his disgraced uncle."
"Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back," Hilary added. "He wants Andrew to vanish from public view."
"William’s strong stance on 'the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined," she continued. "He is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future. [William is] very in touch with the public. Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances."
Meanwhile, King Charles hasn't exactly managed to successfully deal with his brother, who refuses to leave his 30-room mansion, the Royal Lodge, despite being evicted. Back in November 2024, the Daily Mail reported that Andrew refused "to budge" and at one point was even "worried that the royals might even turn off the utilities to get him out of there."
More on how that whole thing turned out...
