Ed Sheeran might have to send an apology note along with his wedding gift for Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez. The “Don’t” hitmaker accidentally revealed a specific detail about the couple’s nuptials, which has otherwise been kept under wraps.

During Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test, Ed was asked whether he had been invited to Selena and Benny’s wedding, to which he responded that he had. In fact, he already sent his RSVP on behalf of him and his wife, Cherry Seaborn. The Grammy winner goes way back with the couple, as he and Sel are close to Taylor Swift, and Benny attended his incredibly intimate wedding with Cherry in 2018.

When asked what his favorite track on the duo’s album, I Said I Love You First, is, Ed shared that he hadn’t listened to it in full just yet. “I’ve got to be honest, I bought it on vinyl and I want to listen to it on vinyl. I haven’t listened to it all the way through,” he shared.

Sel and Benny got engaged in December 2024 and have remained tight-lipped when it comes to details about their wedding. However, during a joint interview with Rolling Stone ahead of their album’s release, the couple shared that they weren’t in a rush to plan the ceremony.

“I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head. We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people,” Benny told the publication at the time. “We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring.”

The Rare Beauty founder added, “Also, I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world. That’s my main focus right now, at least.”
