Sydney Sweeney hasn’t technically confirmed her breakup with Jonathan Davino, but she’s been making it pretty obvious. On top of deleting a picture of them kissing from her Instagram AND wearing a wedding dress to a premiere right after reports that she called off her own nuptials, Sydney was just spotted at karaoke. Where she belted out the most iconic breakup song of all time: “Someone Like You” by Adele.
On top of that, she was photographed flashing her ringless finger, which seems like a prettttty clear confirmation that she and Jonathan are done.
According to Us Weekly, Sydney and Jonathan had “major issues” ahead of their breakup, which stemmed in part from “Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments. She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship. Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
The insider also noted, “Things are also always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project, and people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her costars. It’s a tough dynamic for Jonathan.”
More recently, a People insider reported that “She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects. What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it. She’s not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
