There’s a lot to catch up on with the Cyrus family this morning. Like, still coming down from Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus seemingly announcing their relationship with this Easter post:
But we’re here to talk about Trace Cyrus. Specifically, Trace Cyrus chaotically calling out Katy Perry for allegedly copying Miley Cyrus’s career (???).
“I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as fuck when her career was first dying,” Trace said on Instagram (via Page Six), going on to accuse Katy of copying Miley’s short haircut: “And they were like, ‘Hm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley? She cut her hair off and it broke the internet and everyone freaked out and she bleached it blond. We should do that with you, Katy.’”
Trace then accused Katy of copying Miley's music evolution, saying, “‘You’re now going to do the same stuff that Miley did and blow up.’ Guess what? It didn’t fucking work—and then they just tried some EDM song or some shit because EDM’s hot. Didn’t fucking work, and now they’re going to send your ass to space. Didn’t fucking work! It’s not working. It’s backfiring.”
It’s unclear, um, why Trace has so many feelings about Katy Perry, but the singer has yet to respond to his rant. Meanwhile, she and Wendy’s (as in, the fast food chain) are feuding, so...
