For whatever reason, Jason Isaacs seemingly cannot stop dropping hints about mysterious White Lotus on-set romances and drama, which has, in part, helped fuel speculation of trouble on set, specifically between Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood. Well, in his most recent interview, Jason seemed to weigh in on those Walton and Aimee feud rumors, warning fans not to read too much into social media.

Appearing on the April 9 episode of SiriusXM's The Happy Hour, per People, Jason doubled down on his original comments about drama on set. Echoing his March 30 interview with Vulture, where he likened the set to “a cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies,” the actor said that the experience of shooting season 3 was like any other group gathering: “There's friendships, there's romances, there's arguments, there's cliques that form and break and reform.”

But just because he keeps talking about all the behind-the-scenes drama doesn't mean he wants us to read anything into it. “I'm not stupid. I look at the Internet. I only read every single word written about The White Lotus and about everybody in it,” he said, adding that “amateur Sherlock Holmes” trying to decode his comments are all looking in the wrong places.

Our first mistake, apparently, was assuming he was talking about the cast. Jason told The Happy Hour that people involved in on-set drama included behind-the-scenes crew members that fans wouldn't know anything about. “Nobody has the slightest clue what they're talking about,” he continued. “People who think they're onto something, and then it gets magnified because of a thousand other people. Nobody has any clue.”

Jason also clarified that he had no intention of stirring the pot when he made his initial comments, he just wanted it to be known that filming the show in Thailand was work, not a vacation. “I'm just saying it wasn't a holiday, and partly I started saying that because people think we were on a seven-month holiday, and believe me, it felt like work a lot of the time,” he said.

He continued, “It was insanely hot and there's all the normal social tensions you get anywhere. But for all of you [that] think you've cracked it by something you think someone has posted or is in a photo or not, you're just so far from the truth, believe me.”

Jason didn't specifically call out any rumors, but it's hard to imagine he wasn't referring to the speculation surrounding Walton and Aimee, who played Rick and Chelsea in season 3. (In the wake of the finale, fans began noticing that the two actors don't follow each other on Instagram, with some even theorizing that Walton had blocked Aimee, despite praising her on the grid.) But the truth is we'll probably never know who or what Jason was talking about, and maybe that's for the best.
