As Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus gear up for their respective new musical eras, Billy Ray Cyrus is getting candid about his feelings toward his daughters.

“Holy shit. I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one! You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one…but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus,” the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption posted on March 25.

He added, “Flesh and blood…completely taking their art to a whole new level . Congratulations girls ! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! 😊 Love Dad.”

Billy’s message not only comes amid reported drama between his children and ex-wife Tish Cyrus but also hot off Noah’s latest release with Fleet Foxes, “Don’t Put It All on Me.”

In a press release sent to Cosmopolitan, the singer-songwriter shared the ballad was inspired by her family dynamic. “I have always been the observer in our family, and Braison wrote about how I tend to carry the weight of that on my shoulders,” she wrote, referring to her cowriter and older brother, Braison Cyrus.

A few days later on March 24, Miley officially announced that her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, drops on May 30 with an accompanying film set to release in June. According to the multi-hyphenate, the “hypnotizing and glamorous” album will be a pop opera with 13 tracks inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall.

In January, a source told People that Miley is purposely staying away from the drama surrounding her family. “Miley used to feel overwhelmed by the family drama. She worked hard to remove herself. She’s not about to get involved again,” the insider shared. “She’s in a great place now. She’s thriving and looking out for herself.”
