Once a Spring Breaker, always a Spring Breaker. Just two days before the release of their new album, Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez crashed a Spring Breakers screening to thank fans and debut an unreleased track.

“Did you guys enjoy one of my favorite movies ever?” Selena reportedly asked after emerging in front of the screen. “Thank you so much, this movie means the world to me. And just that you guys are here, it’s so special.” she said. “I’m so grateful for you guys, and I hope you enjoy everything we put together.”

After thanking the audience, Selena turned it over to Benny Blanco, who revealed their big surprise: “We wanted to do something special for you guys, so we’re gonna play a song that hasn’t been heard yet, and then we’re actually going to give it to you a day early on a USB when you leave, and our label is probably going to shoot us, but thanks, guys.”

The song called “Bluest Flame” feels right at home among their other previously released tracks from their upcoming album, I Said I Love You First, to be released on Friday, March 21. Bad Bunny and Selena have collaborated before, but this will be their first full length album together as an engaged couple (insert “aww” here).

Needless to say, the upbeat tracks are in pretty stark contrast to 2012’s Spring Breakers. The film from director Harmony Korine is a deceptively dark tale of four college students who go to Florida on Spring Break and get involved with a drug dealer, Alien played by James Franco. Selena played Faith, the most innocent of the group, which also included Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine.

The movie was released right as Selena was wrapping up Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney Channel and marked a major departure for the actor. Now it’s getting a second life, as Spring Breakers is currently in re-release on IMAX.
