Say what you want about the KarJenners, but...these girls have been through a lot since they crashed into the pop culture scene in 2007. Ofc, one of the famous family’s most memorable moments is Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage to former NBA player Kris Humphries in 2011. (Yes...the one that spawned those crying memes that still make their rounds on our social feeds).
In the latest episode of their Hulu reality series The Kardashians, Kim got candid about her whirlwind relationship with Kris. As she went down memory lane and reminisced about her three engagement rings with her younger sis Khloé Kardashian, Kim said, “I wonder what my next ring shape will be—on my last and final hoorah.”
“Number one was a cushion cut, 14-karat,” Kim said about her first ring from her four-year marriage to record producer Damon Thomas. She then walked her sister through her second ring from Kris, which she shared was an 18-karat emerald cut from jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
“I didn’t keep that,” the Skims founder said. “I was pregnant with North, still married to him and in order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring in my divorce.”
Kim—who has reached billionaire status since her divorce from Kris thanks to several business ventures—then revealed that she paid for the majority of the sparkler. “He contributed a fifth,” she clarified, to which her hairstylist Chris Appleton said was a “savage” move. According to Page Six, the ring is reportedly worth $2 million.
Lorraine Schwartz herself happened to be in the room for the convo, as she accompanied her and Khloé on their trip to Mumbai for the July 2024 Ambani wedding during the episode. She told Kim that she got rid of the ring “for the best,” but admitted that she “would’ve loved a collection.”
Kim has rarely mentioned her short-lived romance with Kris since their divorce was finalized in 2013. She jokingly asked if she should give him a call after Khloé reunited with her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, in an earlier episode of The Kardashians. As for Kris, he is now a franchisee of Dave’s Hot Chicken in Minnesota, per Downtown Voices.
