Doja Cat joined Raye, Lisa, and—somewhat randomly—Margaret Qualley to perform a James Bond tribute at the 2025 Oscars, and hit the stage to sing "Diamonds Are Forever" (while fittingly wearing a gown absolutely dripping with diamonds).

Honestly thought Doja absolutely smashed it, but apparently she faced some criticism over a few flat notes and hopped online to respond.

“I never get to sing like that and what I did was brave and scary as fuck for me," she wrote on Instagram, while sharing photos of her looks from the night. "I know a lot of people didn't like it but a lot of people did and I feel good that I pushed myself. The song is a classic and I put a lot of work into it but the nerves got to me and a bitch hit some flats.”

She added, "I can’t wait to do something like that again. What a blessing that was. I feel amazing about the whole thing. Bye."

Doja Cat also chatted to E! on the Oscars red carpet ahead of the awards, and teased her performance. "It was amazing, I loved working with [Lisa and Raye]," she said. "They’re very easy to work with but they’re also very sweet and very talented. It’s going to be very sensual and very sexy and very naughty. You’re going to see a much more sensual, dark side of everybody."
