Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has entered the chat about Alix Earle’s departure from Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network. On the latest episode of her BFF’s podcast, Brianna and her co-host Josh Richards reacted to the drama in real time.
Josh referred to Alix’s exit as “the biggest news in podcasting” before he attempted to get more info from Brianna, who recently appeared on Alix’s pod, Hot Mess. She stayed tight-lipped on the rumored feud between Alix and Alex, saying, “I actually keep it in the box in the chamber, which if I was better at my job, I wouldn’t and I would spill all the tea. But, yeah. I’m never gonna steal anyone’s story.”
She did share that she thinks “we’re about to watch a lot of shit unfold” after Alix’s exit. “It’s gonna be definitely gonna be a hot mess,” she continued, making a cheeky nod to the TikToker’s podcast title.
Josh and Brianna then discussed what the Hot Mess host’s next move could be—especially after Barstool Sports creator Dave Portnoy posted a shady Instagram Story seemingly aimed at Alex Cooper and the Unwell Network.“There’s no world [where that would happen],” Brianna said in Alix’s defense. “She’s Alix Earle, if anything she will start her own company. She’s not gonna ever join something else [because] she doesn’t need anyone else.”
On February 25, Variety reported that Hot Mess was dropped by the Unwell Network amid feud rumors between the social media personalities. Multiple sources weighed in on the situation with Us Weekly following the report.
“They’ve had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell,” a source explained. “They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”
Neither Alix nor Alex have publicly commented on Hot Mess being removed from the Unwell Network. However, Alix did reveal that she’s working on another business venture as an investor in a new alcohol brand.
“I guess the other part of this is it could completely fail,” Alix said in her Instagram announcement. “No, but what I’m trying to say is, like, it’s scary. I’m scared. I don’t know, you know, it’s a lot that goes into it, and having something start up is scary, but I believe in it and I believe in the team and the product.”
