Bachelor Nation is going through some major changes, and now members of the franchise's crew have been let go amid The Bachelorette being put on pause.

Deadline reports that “a large group of crew members have been let go from The Bachelor universe” (exact number tbd) due to The Bachelorette’s postponement. Per the outlet, the “majority” of the crew were told they’d “no longer be employed” last week, which caused “shockwaves.”

Meanwhile, crew members still working on The Bachelor (which is currently airing) “will continue until their responsibilities end.”

Deadline originally broke the story that ABC was “pausing” the show, though host Jesse Palmer said on the Playing the Field podcast that the pause would be temporary, saying, “The good news is I know it’s not going away. I know it’s definitely coming back. Without being able to get into too much of the creative decisions on it, I know that when it does [return], I just think it’s going to be absolutely tremendous.”

He added that it’s “not unprecedented for The Bachelorette not to air in the summer,” and “once it does come back, I know Bachelor Nation will be really excited.”
