A$AP Rocky has officially been found not guilty on two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm—and his reaction to the news couldn't have been more sweet.
In a video from the courtroom, Rocky can be seen taking in his not guilty verdict, before rushing to hug Rihanna—who was sitting behind him. Like, he literally dove into her for a hug. Me personally? I've watched this five times.
Rocky gave a brief statement to reporters gathered outside the courthouse, saying "First of all, I got to thank god. We want to thank god first, you know what I’m saying? And I really want to thank the jury for making the right decision. I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy, for the past four years, but I’m thankful, nonetheless, I’m thankful. Blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talkin’ to y’all. Thank you. All praise to god.”
He also thanked the jury as he was leaving the courtroom itself, saying “Thank y’all for saving my life.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna—whose been supporting Rocky throughout his trial and even took their kids to closing arguments—reacted to the news on Instagram Stories, writing “The glory belongs to god and god alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy!”
