Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter, Apple Martin, recently made her ~debut in society~ at Le Bal des Debutantes, looking incredible in a custom Valentino dress as she twirled around a ballroom with her date / and hung out with a bunch of other debutantes from wealthy families across the world.
Due to this event being widely captured on camera, pretty much every move Apple made ended up online—including a viral video of her seemingly cutting into a fellow debutante's photo opp and striking several poses. The moment got some backlash, but turns out accusations of "mean girl" behavior are completely unwarranted.
Aliénor Loppin de Montmort, the debutante in the video with Apple, spoke to People (via Us Weekly), saying “[Apple’s] genuinely the nicest girl ever! She really doesn’t deserve an ounce of what she’s getting. She was the nicest girl ever towards not only me but all the debs!"
So, that's that on that!
As for the other debs at the event, this season reportedly included Sophia Loren’s granddaughter Lucia Sofia Ponti, as well as Princess Eugenia de Bourbon. And for what it's worth, Apple is hardly the first celeb kid to make their debut at Le Bal des Debutantes. Past balls have featured Emily in Paris star / Phil Collins' daughter, Lily Collins; The Substance star / Andie MacDowell's daughter, Margaret Qualley; Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe's daughter, Ava Philippe; and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter, Scout Willis.
