Jennifer Lopez filed a new round of divorce documents on Thursday, August 22 that cited the reason for her and Ben Affleck’s split—in addition to a request that “Affleck” be legally dropped from her last name.

According to Us Weekly, J.Lo listed the reason for the split as good ol’ fashioned “irreconcilable differences,” a tried and true celeb classic. Meanwhile, she requested that Ben Affleck not be awarded spousal support and alluded to the separation of their assets, saying the “exact nature and extent” of shared property is unknown, but “will be determined.”

The new docs come just three days after Jen’s initial divorce filing on August 20 (the two-year anni of her and Ben’s Georgia wedding), when she showed up at the L.A. County Superior Court and filed “pro per,” which means “by herself and without a lawyer.” During that filing, Jen listed her and Ben’s date of separation as April 26, 2024.

Following the news of Jen’s initial divorce filing, a source told People that the celeb “tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken. The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.” The insider also said she was “done waiting” and is ready to “move on,” explaining, “She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage.”

As of now, Bennifer has yet to release a statement about the split, which they did last time they publicly broke up in 2004. But stay tuned?
