Prince Harry and Prince William are scheduled to make a rare "joint appearance" tonight at an event honoring Princess Diana, but apparently, the feuding brothers won't even be in the same room virtually.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince William is set to give a speech at the Diana Legacy Award and will present honors to 20 people. Prince Harry is then scheduled to get on a video call with the winners after his brother has left the building.
So, yeah...things remain tense!
In case you hadn't noticed, Prince Harry and Prince William have been feuding for years, and things only got worse with the release of Prince Harry's tell-all memoir Spare. In fact, the vibes between these two are so bad that Wills didn't even see Harry when his younger sibling visited King Charles amid his cancer diagnosis.
According to an “old school friend” of the brothers, “The news about their father is absolutely shocking, but I don’t think it means William wants to meet up with Harry and shake hands for the cameras. If the papers want to write that they are going to be having pints together and a heart to heart, they will, but in reality, the idea that William and Kate are ever, ever going to let Harry back into their lives, or trust him with any personal information ever again is a total fantasy. It’s simply not possible to exaggerate how bad and how damaged the relationship is, and how angry William is at Harry for betraying him for money.”
Btw, Prince Harry is expected to be back in the United Kingdom in May for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but it seems unlikely that he and Prince William will reunite. As royal biographer Ingrid Seward recently told People, “Of course [Charles] would like Harry to be the prodigal son and come back and would be much happier if William and Harry were friends again. But he realizes that is just not about to happen.”
