When he’s not starring in Oscar-nominated movies, posing on red carpets, meeting up with lookalike contest winners, or, you know, acting, Timothée Chalamet does what any other 20-something might do: He dates. And though the Complete Unknown star has been dating Kylie Jenner for two-and-a-half years now, his relationship history prior to Kylie is almost as varied as his career. Truly, this man does not have a type.

Lourdes Leon: 2017
Way back in the year known as 2017, Timmy was publicly linked to Madonna’s eldest child, Lourdes. The two met while attending the same performing arts high school in New York City. “I respect him a lot, we were a little item,” Lourdes told Vanity Fair in 2021, calling Timothée “my first boyfriend, or anything.”
Speaking with Andy Cohen while on the Call Me by Your Name press tour, Timothée got a bit sheepish when talking about his ex. “She hasn’t seen [the movie] yet, but she’s excited to,” he said when Andy asked about Lourdes—known as Lola. “She teases me about the public appearances… The movie itself she’s very excited about and the reception it’s been getting is only a great thing. It’s like the public appearance stuff around it, like some of the late-night things I’ve done. I get made fun of.”
Naturally, Andy asked the question we all want to know: So how long did y’all date though…? And ofc Timmy pushed it right along, declaring “Next question!” while laughing and blushing.
Lily-Rose Depp: 2018 to 2020 & 2021
There’s nothing like a movie set to strike the flames of young love. Timothée and Lily-Rose (yes, Johnny Depp’s daughter) were costars in Netflix’s The King, and while it was assumed that they started their relationship during filming, they weren’t publicly linked until October 2018, after the movie wrapped. Their romance lasted well over a year, but it wasn’t without its public trials.
A year into their relationship, they damn near broke the internet with *that* kiss. ICYMI, while on a private yacht in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea (casual), paps caught Lily-Rose and Timothée hanging out and making out (a LOT) on the deck, prompting many to dissect his, uh, technique online and in the press. But admittedly, Timmy felt a bit of embarrassment from the pics.
“I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life,” he told GQ in an October 2020 cover story. “I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, ‘That was great.’ And then waking up to all these pictures and feeling embarrassed and looking like a real nob? All pale? And then people are like: ‘This is a PR stunt.’ A PR stunt?! Do you think I’d want to look like that in front of all of you?!”
But by the time those words went to print, Lily-Rose and Timothée were already broken up. Us Weekly confirmed the couple’s split in April 2020, and British Vogue referred to Timothée as single around the same time in its May 2020 issue.
The two then (briefly!) sparked rumors of a reconciliation in April 2021 after they were spotted shopping in NYC together. “They came in together and both looked around,” said a source to Entertainment Tonight, adding that Timmy slyly bought Lily a dress “as a secret gift” for her. However, nothing ever came of those rumors.
Eiza González: 2020
Timmy went public with Eiza not too long after his first breakup with Lily-Rose. The two actors were seen vacationing in Cabo San Lucas at the end of June and made waves on the internet with some super-steamy make-out pics. Okay, Timmy, starting to notice a pattern here….
Their fling didn’t last, and neither of them made public comments about it. “They weren’t together for long, just that Cabo trip,” a source told E! News at the time, while noting that they had recently spoken to Eiza and she didn’t bring up Timothée…like, at all.
Sarah Talabi: 2022
The Sarah Talabi/Timmy rumors began around *checks cal* April 17, 2022, when the actor and model were spotted together on the official Coachella livestream during Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd’s headlining set. Just a day later, DeuxMoi posted a blind item that read, “Timothee Chalamet was dancing with and kissing Victoria’s Secret model Sarah Talabi at Coachella.” Above the tip was a photo of what was presumed to be the two smiling and dancing. Interesting!
Unfortunately, the photo wasn’t great quality, and a lot of people didn’t actually think the person next to Timotheé was Sarah at the time. The rumors were kind of (?!) put to rest after another DeuxMoi follower revealed that the model posted evidence on her own account.
In a video, Sarah said she “had the best time with the best group of people," tagging Timotheé, her sister Leah, and a friend, seemingly confirming the story.
She later referenced the rumor in a statement to Page Six: “Everyone is asking me if I was kissing Timothée Chalamet at Coachella, and that is a good question. But a great question would be asking our world leaders why the Earth is now losing 1.2 trillion tons of ice each year due to global warming and why climate crisis reform has been completely ineffective.”
And although one would think (!!) that that settles that, DeuxMoi kind of complicated matters by announcing, “I don’t know who Sarah Talabi is but you guys are telling me she isn’t in that pic…bottom line is Timmy hung out with a lot of different women this weekend, just let the kid live.” To which we say…fair!
Taylor Russell: 2022
The actor sparked dating rumors with his Bones and All co-star Taylor Russell after the two posed for a v cuddly pic together that Timothée uploaded to his Instagram. Ahem, observe:
Fans at the time loved (or totally hated, depending on their obsession with Timmy) the pic, with one IG user commenting, “IS IT OFFICIAL NOW?” while another added, “this is such a cute strictly professional photo promoting your movie.”
Neither actor ever confirmed whether they dated so...your guess about what happened/didn’t happen between them is as good as mine!
Kylie Jenner: 2023 to Now
And now, we’ve come to the present. Rumors that Kylie and Timothée were romantically involved first appeared on DeuxMoi in April 2023, with a source writng, “Anon pls!! Multiple sources have told me that Timmy C has a new girl...Kylie Jenner.”
Not long after, Entertainment Tonight confirmed that these two were, in fact, officially dating. According to a source, Kylie and Timmy were “keeping things casual at this point.” More specifically, the source claimed that the two were “not serious,” but that “Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes.”
However, it wasn’t until September of that year that Timmy and Kylie hard-launched their romance at the happiest place on Earth: Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour. According to spicy pics obtained by TMZ, the pair was cuddling and kissing throughout Bey’s birthday show. A clip of the couple also surfaced online during the show, where Timothée puffed on a cigarette as he chatted with The Kardashians star.
In January 2024, the two made it even more official by attending the Golden Globes, where he was nominated for his performance in Wonka. But despite this very public outing, the two have continued to keep their relationship mostly out of the press, choosing instead to step out on red carpets solo and to keep details to themselves.
And while the couple has recently been plagued by breakup rumors, they’re reportedly still going strong. As a source told People in August 2025, “They haven’t seen each other for a few weeks only because Timothée’s been filming Dune in a studio in Budapest, and Kylie’s been working, too... They’re making it work though. They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine.”
