Olivia Rodrigo won three Grammy Awards thanks to her debut album Sour and now she’s back at it with Guts—which has six nominations. It’s obviously been a huge year for 20-year-old Olivia (who is also performing at the Grammys), and she showed up on the red carpet looking ready to win in a beautiful white sequined gown.
Olivia told ExtraTV that she found out about her nominations while hanging with her mom and best friend and pretty much just started screaming. Direct quote: “I was sitting next to my mom and my best friend Maddie on the couch and we’re watching the livestream and we just started screaming. I think the first person I called was my producer Dan. He was so excited. He got nominated for Producer of the Year, which is very exciting, so yeah, it was a great, great day.”
Olivia added, “It’s so funny, I literally told my friend, ‘What do I do? Six Grammy nominations, it’s so great.’ I was like…‘You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to walk across the street and get a croissant,’ and that’s what I did.”
Oh, and she also told E! News, “It was so exciting. Best Rock Song, too, was incredible. I was so excited about that. I’m living the dream, couldn’t be more grateful.”
Olivia is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Solo Performance thanks to “Vampire,” while Guts is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Meanwhile, “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” got nominated for Best Rock Song!
