Miley Cyrus’s decision to buy herself flowers is about to potentially land her at least one 2024 Grammy Award, because she’s nominated no less than six times tonight. And she hit the red carpet looking like a winner, wearing a fabulous custom Maison Margiela look featuring a cone bra and Dolly Parton–worthy hair.
Miley’s nominations, you ask? “Flowers” earned her a nom for Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Song of the Year. Endless Summer Vacation was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album and “Thousand Miles” got her nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Truly impressive!
Miley celebrated her nominations on Twitter, writing, “Congratulations to all of this years Grammy nominees. Watching women rule the music industry makes me proud. It’s fun to be nominated & exciting to win but having my music LOVED around the world is the real trophy. To my Smilers - I celebrate YOU today. Your joy is my bliss. My team + all of my collaborators are irreplaceable & priceless pieces of this puzzle. I love you all. Thank you for making my Endless Summer Vacation so sweet.”
As a reminder, Miley chose not to tour for this album, telling fans on Instagram, “Performing for you has been some of the best days of my life, and we will continue this journey together as we have for the last almost two decades. This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road.” She added, “It isn’t what’s best for me right now, and if you’ve been following my career, you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too. Love you forever.”
