Still not done being obsessed with Simona Tabasco thanks to The White Lotus season 2 and happy to report that she showed up on the Emmys red carpet looking incredible in a rainbow floral Marni dress and Cartier jewels.
Simona is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series alongside a ton of her White Lotus castmates. Jennifer Coolidge, Meghann Fahy, Aubrey Plaza, and Sabrina Impacciatore have all been nominated in the category, along with Elizabeth Debicki for The Crown, Rhea Seehorn for Better Call Saul, and J. Smith-Cameron for Succession.
Simona spoke to The Guardian about her ascent to the spotlight, saying, “I’m a very reserved person as a private individual. I value my privacy, so there is big contrast in me between what I become when I’m in front of the camera, which is a different kind of strength that goes through me when I am working. While when I’m off set, I remain this sincere and honest person I have always been despite 10 years of working this job. As an actor, [being open to the world is] such a characteristic of this job that I believe I need to be myself 100 percent whenever I’m not being something else, so that when I do I’m able to give my 1,000 percent and everything I am capable of.”
As for what Simona has coming up next, she’s starring alongside fellow White Lotus alum Sydney Sweeney in a psychological horror film called Immaculate, about an “Italian convent harboring some dark and horrifying secrets.” Can’t wait for that!
