Gerard Piqué took an unfortunate tumble into a hole this week while on stage for the Kings League Américas, and, naturally, the moment was captured on camera:
Also—naturally, of course!—, commenters were quick to claim this was karma for Gerard allegedly cheating on Shakira, with replies like "This happens when u cheat on Shakira," "Don’t disrespect the stage queen and then expect the stage to respect you," "Shakira doin magic," and my personal favorite "karma is a stage."
As a reminder, Shakira allegedly found out Gerard was cheating due to a...jam jar. Per Page Six and ShowNews Today, the story goes something like this: Shakira came home from a trip and discovered that jam had been eaten, which made her suspicious due to the fact that Gerard doesn't like jam.
Fans actually think referenced the moment in the music video for her and Rauw Alejandro’s song “Te Felicito,” in which she opens a fridge and finds Alejandro’s head on a plate. And, of course, we can't forget her breakup song / diss track, "BZRP Music Session #53," the lyrics of which include "You left me as a neighbor to the mother-in-law / With the press at the door and the debt at the IRS / You thought you'd hurt me, but you made me tougher / Women don't cry anymore, women invoice."
Oh, and speaking of Shakira's mother-in-law, we also can't forget that at one point Shakira played "BZRP Music Session #53" from her house while a witch doll chilled on her balcony facing her ex-MIL's home.
Anyway, hope Gerard is recovering from his fall into that hole!
